Women for Ukraine: A Danish NGO Supporting Ukraine

A corporate website for a women's non-profit organization in Denmark

About the Project

Women for Ukraine is a Danish non-profit organization founded by Ukrainian women in Copenhagen. Officially launched on January 2, 2023, at the Embassy of Ukraine in Denmark. It unites Ukrainian, Danish, and international women to support Ukraine: medical aid, assistance to refugees, women’s rights advocacy, cultural collaboration, support for children, and women’s entrepreneurship. The organization runs real-world projects — from supplying equipment to the Superhumans Center to Ukrainian cultural evenings at the Royal Danish Theatre.

Challenge

To build a representative website for an NGO that simultaneously serves several purposes: communicating the organization’s mission and projects, attracting donors and new members, and reflecting the values of solidarity and professionalism. Finding the right visual balance was essential — between warmth and seriousness, between emotion and trust.

Solution

We developed a clean single-page website with a clear structure: mission → areas of activity → projects → team → donations → contacts. The visual language is restrained and dignified: a yellow-and-blue color palette references the Ukrainian flag without being loud about it. Implemented features include a projects block, a team section with photos and titles, multiple donation methods (bank transfer, MobilePay, in-kind donations), a membership application form via Google Forms, and social media integration. The site is bilingual — Danish and English. WordPress, custom theme.

What We Did

We took the project turnkey — from concept to launch. For us, this was not just a commercial order — it was a project with real meaning. We built a digital platform for an organization that helps people in the midst of war, and that placed special responsibility on every visual and editorial decision we made.

Result

The website accurately reflects the character of the organization: serious, humane, and open. It functions as a tool for attracting donors and partners, as well as a public face for the NGO directed at Danish and international audiences. The structure is clear at first glance — visitors immediately understand who Women for Ukraine are, what they do, and how to help.
